The Company

The family-owned WBV Westdeutscher Bindegarn-Vertrieb Esselgrimm GmbH & Co KG was founded in 1913.

During the early years the company sold products specifically aimed at the agricultural industry, but the product range was augmented during the 1920`s by technical yarns. We started the direct import of these goods ourselves in 1950. The range was further broadened in 1968 by the addition of adhesive tapes and in 1978 by plastic film products. The film products have in the meantime become the major contributor to turnover. The range was completed in 1985 by the addition of protective clothing and articles.

The company prefers to be judged not by its products but by its devoted staff. There are currently 150 employees at WBV Oelde, more than 30 of these being apprentices or trainees. A friendly and highly motivated team of competent specialists in each product area advise our demanding customers. Highly trained specialists are continually engaged in the ordering and buying of goods and ensuring the outstanding quality of imported goods.
